Char Pair collects and stores the following user data:

Data provided by users to Char Pair, such as name, gender, contact number, device used, etc., during signing up / account creation and profile verification
Data created during use of our products and services, such as location, route chosen, start and end timings, app usage, and device data
Data from other sources, such as Char Pair partners and third parties that use Char Pair APIs
Vehicle details of user authenticated by user or verified by Char Pair or by third parties hired by Char Pair

Data Provided by Users

The following categories of data are provided directly by users:

Profile Verification: Company official/personal email id, Driver's License, Government identification documents such as Aadhaar card details
Emergency Contact Information: The contact details of emergency contacts as provided by user
Profile Data: Name, email, gender, phone number, company, profession, office email, home location, office location, referral codes, and profile picture
Payment Information: Payment method information (Wallet linking, Credit card, Debit card, etc.) and Redemption preferences
Vehicle Information: Model, Type, Registration number, Picture, Insurance details, etc.
Personal Details: Date of birth, Skills, Hobbies, Home address, Office address, Usual traveling times
Feedback: User feedback on other users and Char Pair products and services
Contacts: Users' contacts list provided for referrals and invites
Social Accounts: Social network accounts such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter if connected to your Char Pair account

Data From Other Sources

Char Pair may combine the data collected from these sources with other data in its possession:

User feedback such as ratings, feedback, complaints, and tickets
Referral program participants - when a user refers another person, we receive that person's personal data
Users or others providing information in connection with claims or disputes
Vendors who help verify user identity and background information for regulatory, safety, and security purposes

With Other Users: User information is shared with other Char Pair users for ride matching. This includes first name, rating, company, verification status, lifts completed, route, current location, ETA, and pickup/dropoff locations
With Affiliates & Subsidiaries: We share data with our subsidiaries and affiliates to provide services or conduct data processing
With Service Providers: Verification providers, payment processors, cloud storage providers, Google Maps, Facebook, marketing partners, data analytics providers, and other business partners
For Legal Reasons: When required by law enforcement, government authorities, or in connection with claims or disputes
With Consent: We may share data if we notify you and you consent to the sharing

Data Security

Your Char Pair profile is protected with OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Never share your OTP with anyone. Char Pair staff will never ask for personal account information including your OTP. If you share a device, sign out and close the browser before others log on.

Char Pair makes every effort to ensure information security with staff dedicated to maintaining privacy practices and reviewing security measures. However, we cannot guarantee security of information transmitted and you do so at your own risk.

Data Retention & Deletion

Char Pair retains user data for as long as necessary for its purposes. Different categories of data are retained for different periods depending on the category, type, and collection purpose.

Users may request account deletion at any time through the app feature or by sending a mail to [email protected]. Char Pair may retain data after deletion due to legal or regulatory requirements. Following deletion, Char Pair suspends the account and retains data collected until that point for database integrity purposes.

By using the Char Pair platform, you represent and warrant that you understand and agree that all information submitted becomes the property of Char Pair and may be used in accordance with this privacy policy and terms of use.

Policy Updates

This privacy policy will be updated periodically as per needs and evolving product services and use cases. We encourage users to periodically review this policy for the latest information. Use of our services after an update constitutes consent to the updated notice to the extent permitted by law.
